Which is the seat with the best view?
Always from Lucerne or Interlaken on the right side in the direction of travel.

How far in advance can I make a reservation?
Seat reservations can be made at the earliest 6 months prior to departure.
Which reduction level do I have to choose?
This route is fully included in the Swiss Travel Pass (Flex), the GA (General Abonnement) and the Tell-Pass (2 to 10-day ticket for Central Switzerland). As the owner of one of these passes, you do not need to buy a transport ticket. To reserve a seat only, select "Reservation only" in the booking process. The same applies if you already own a ticket for the route.
The Swiss Half-Fare travelcard is valid on the route, so select "Half-Fare" in the booking process.
Full-price tickets are purchased by selecting "no discount".
Travelling with children
Children up to and including the age of 5 travel free of charge, for seat reservations select "Reservation only". Children from 6 to 15 years need a 1/2 fare ticket, please select the discount level "Half-Fare".
Due to the fare guidelines for reserving seats for children, there may be restrictions when booking. If an error message appears, we recommend booking the seat reservation separately from the ticket.
As an individual traveler, can I also get off at stations like Lungern or Brienz?
Yes, reservations for a part of the route are possible.
